Because we love the 45 degree joint when we first started thinking of a new table, the Parsons concept came to mind, but that has ben done. So we started with a blank and one goal: the legs would dominate and contain the table.
Our final legs were both straight and angular outside and rounded inside.
The unique internal carving gives the legs a slick, thought out look.
Like with all our tables the top is done in mahogany so the grain is rich.
The curvy chairs establish a contrast with the restrained table.
The backs of the chairs seem slightly tilted against the straight lines of the table,
their back is designed with two different faces, their backs are not mirror images of their front. The skirt and legs of the chairs suggest a parentheses which gave the name to the set.
