This piece is a must every designer, specially if one is a woman.
Originally called wedding chests, later to be renamed “Hope Chests”
storing the hope of marriage and the promise of love and security.
Then used to store hand embroidered linens ,
preserving them until the wedding and honeymoon night.
Once industrial travel began chests became luggage now
they thrive because of its limitless uses; bench coffee table, pillow keeper, etc..

Construction Notes:

Our version is constructed of 1" solid mahogany with dovetailed corners
and hand forged iron hardware of our own design.
This hope chest has very little assembly to insure sturdiness
and a hand rubbed finish to conserve the beauty of the wood veins
and to allow the rich smell of the mahogany to please the senses.
