Designer Notes:

We are very proud of this design.
It is a product of group brainstorming .
We aspired to simplicity,
sturdiness and style and went through several prototypes,
each time refining not only the size of the components but also the shape.
The end product is true to form follows function.

Construction Notes:

The uniqueness of this piece lies in the soft roundness of all its components.
The legs are lathe- rounded extended cones imbedded in the 1 3/4 by 4 inch skirt
that function as dowels to lock in the legs.
At the same time the decorative disk at the intersection of the leg and
the skirt serves as the wedge that locks the whole piece in place so it can’t parallelogarm.
The result is a is sturdy, visually light structure able to carry the weight of ½ inch glass.
