Designer Notes:

This piece is inspired on British Colonial India.
It was designed to evoke the clubs where the properly dressed administrators
of the Royal empire would gather to read the weeks old London newspapers.
To make the piece more authentic of the Raj we added two foot rests.
This is a ample love sofa, large enough for three.
Its exposed solid mahogany frame shows the quality of the piece.

Construction Notes :

The arms which become the front legs
are one unassembled part which is penetrated
by the skirt acting as a dowel.
The back legs and the ergonomic back
are also one piece giving the sofa a comfortable rake and stability.
The upholstery is done the old fashioned way
with coils for a comfortable bounce.
The piece is finished in a dark hand rubbed oak,
adding to its authenticity.
Even though it is a brand new piece it is hard to tell it is not an antique.
