I hope you find buying our pieces thru this web site is as simple as buying them off the floor at our Old San Juan gallery. Purchasing here is comfortable and documented by the email process. But just like in the gallery, the pieces purchased here are delivered to your front door and travel with insurance covering their total cost.

WE WANT YOU PLEASED WITH YOUR PURCHASE.

For that to happen:

First our work(s) must reach you in pristine, undamaged condition. Thus every piece you purchase is well protected for shipping and delivered in a padded box one side of which can be opened for customs inspection and, more importantly, your examination upon arrival. We urge you to inspect your piece(s) at the moment of delivery so damages, if any, can be noted and informed to us for processing.

Then you must love the piece(s) you purchased. During the 21 days following its delivery, you can decide to return your piece(s) and we will gladly refund your full payment. or, if you so prefer, give you full credit for the same amount for the purchase of another of the works. We strongly suggest you keep the piece’s bubble wrap and traveling box until our 21 days, Return Policy period expires. The shipping cost of the return is your responsibility.

Finally the furnishings must provide service for a long time.
When you decide to keep the piece our lifetime guarantee as specified below applies.

Next to the name of every item there is a notation (In Stock, Work in Process, Bespoken) which tells you how we organize our sales production and the approximate delivery time of the pieces.

You can buy any of our In Stock or Work in Process pieces offered here at the prices quoted. Please contact us for the prices of our Bespoken pieces. The prices include insurance, crating and handling, but not delivery to your front door. This cost will be itemized in the quote /invoice you will receive from us as part of our email purchasing transaction.

IN STOCK: Exact reproduction of the piece as displayed on the site. These pieces ship the same week your payment, as stated in our email quote / invoice, clears and is deposited in our account. You will be advised by email the particulars of the shipment prior to its delivery to the courier. You can return the IN STOCK piece to us at without explanations during the twenty one (21) working days following the date of delivery. When returning the piece please protect it with bubble wrap and use the same box we used to deliver it to you. As soon as we receive the piece in undamaged condition we will refund your full payment.

WORK-IN-PROCESS: Exact reproduction of the piece as displayed on the site which are not yet finished. These pieces ship no later than 90 working days after we receive your order and down payment equal to fifty (50%) percent of purchase amount in as stated in our email quote / invoice. Every 30 working days you will receive an email Progress Report with photos of the construction process on your piece(s). We will advise you immediately when your piece is ready for delivery. The finished piece(s) will ship the same week your balance payment, (50%) percent of the purchase amount, clears and is deposited in our account. We will advise you by email of all the particulars of the shipment prior to its delivery to the courier. You can return the WORK-IN PROCESS piece(s) purchased to us at without explanations during the twenty one (21) working days following the date of delivery. When returning the piece please protect it with bubble wrap and use the same box we used to deliver it to you. As soon as we receive the piece in undamaged condition we will refund your full payment.

BESPOKEN: Are furnishings in our catalog which are built only when ordered. When finished the piece is an exact reproduction of what is displayed on the site. The piece ships no later than 180 working days after we receive your order. Since this piece(s) will be constructed especially for you, the down payment, equal to fifty (50%) percent of purchase amount, is non refundable . Every 30 working days you will receive an email Progress Report with photos of the construction process on your piece(s).The balance, equal to fifty (50%) percent of purchase amount must be paid when we advise you by email your BESPOKEN piece is finished and ready for shipment. These pieces will ship the same week the balance payment clears and is reflected in our account. We will advised you by email of all the particulars of the shipment prior to its departure. You can return your BESPOKEN piece to us at without explanations during the twenty one (21) working days following the date of delivery. When returning the piece please protect it with bubble wrap and use the same box we used to deliver it to you. As soon as we receive the piece in undamaged condition, we will refund 50% of your full payment.

DMR DESIGNS LIFE TIME WARRANTY

DMR Designs furniture is hand-crafted by our world class artisans using
centuries old knowledge and techniques as well as modern equipment.
Every DMR Designs piece is branded with an attached metal plate with our logo. At time of purchase, your name will be registered in our Customer Registry as the original owner of the piece. Should properly maintained wood or metal based piece fail at any time during your ownership and lifetime because of workmanship -- and not because misuse, neglect, abuse or exposure to extreme heat, cold, humidity or salinity -- DMR Designs will promptly repair or replace
your piece upon our discretion.

Definitions:

1. Proper care and maintenance of your pieces as described below is a condition of your Life-Time Warranty.

2. This warranty does not apply to seat cushions or fabrics, damage in transit or any defect resulting from neglect, abuse, accident or alterations or repairs other than re-upholstering by anyone other than DMR Designs or its authorized representatives.

3. Expressly excluded by this warranty is liability for subsequent property damage.

How to Properly Maintain your DMR Designs wood furnishings.

Because your DMR furnishings are made from fine woods they requires attention and care to maintain their beauty over time. With time and proper care, your DMR pieces will become even more beautiful and increasingly cherished. To encourage a deep glower, we recommend you plan an occasional cleaning with a mild solution of oil soap and water followed by a coat of paste wax will accelerate a deeper glow.

How to Properly Maintain your DMR Designs Wood Furnishings

Protect the wood surfaces of your wood pieces with protective table pads or place-mats when:

• utilizing extremely hot utensils or dishes,
• eating, working, placing clocks, telephones, radios, or any other objects or
writing on thin paper over the surface of furniture.

Cleaning & Oiling

• use a cloth or paper towel to remove dirt and accumulated dust daily,
• use only regular spray wax on occasional cleansing.
• apply fine furniture oil two or three times a year.

Do Not’s

• use detergents or chemical cleaners on your furniture this may damage the finish.
• pour polish directly on the pieces,
• place heavy objects or table pads on freshly polished furniture surfaces,
• drop the pieces,
• place plastic or vinyl tablecloths on the furniture,
• use polish remover, hair spray, alcohol or perfume near the furniture,
• place rubber or plastic products on the furniture’s surface,
• use products containing silicone on the furniture,
• expose the furniture to strong sunlight, which may cause discoloration,
• expose the furniture to extreme hot, cold, rain, humidity or salinity,
• wet mop near the legs of the furniture or leave surfaces wet with beads of water standing.

How to Properly Maintain your DMR Designs Metal Furnishings

All our metal furnishings are hand forged using steel and other classic metals. All the pieces are given three coats of zinc chromate anti rust primer on all its surfaces prior to final painting for which, again, we use anti rust products.

All our pieces are designed and built for use exclusively in interior spaces. Our lifetime guarantee does not cover metal furnishings which are used in exteriors. We strongly recommend those owners of DMR pieces who, in spite of voiding our lifetime guarantee wish to place their pieces in exteriors, to repaint their exposed pieces with rust inhibiting paints twice a year in locations near the sea shore or with salty-air conditions and once a year otherwise.
